Skateboard Is All Style & Balls
Music has and is always part of the skateboarding culture and whatever genre you listen to, your skating style sort of mimics what you have in your playlist.
I used to (and still do) watch a skateboard video and write down all the music they play in the video and download it.
When I listen to that, I would picture the run and imitate the tricks on my board or add my tricks to the music.
My skateboarding was tuned by the music I listened to.
The documentary “Concrete Jungle,” released in 2009, showcases just that, music and skateboarding.
Skateboarding is the common denominator when it comes to accepting different styles and taste. (ie Punk vs Hip Hop)
It creates unity because you “can’t fake your skateboarding,” meaning, your skill walks the talk.
If you can switch tre down a 10, you get everybody’s respect, even if you can’t and you just like to ride one, every skateboarder knows the feeling.
You have every other skaters’ respect!
